Wild Horse Heaven is a 133-page spiral-bound book filled with 175 superb photographs of the mustangs and their sublime surroundings by noted equine photographer Karen Tweedy-Holmes, which she made during the last nine visits to the sanctuary from 2008 - 2024.
The text by Allison Millonis, who collaborated with Tweedy-Holmes to create the widely praised "Horse Sanctuary" (Rizzoli 2013) presents a brief history of the sanctuary. It describes the work of Susan Watt, Executive Director, who performs the myriad tasks involved in fulfilling the mission of conservation and protection of the horses and the land envisioned by the late founder, Dayton O. Hyde.
