This darling little guy was born last Sunday, April 26, to his mother, Navajo Star, who was rescued from the Arizona Navajo Reservation roundup several years ago. He was so desired by the other members of the herd that Navajo Star had to protect her baby boy from the other mares and was aided in that effort by finally being sequestered in one of our run-in-sheds to keep that from happening. Now older and stronger, both are free to run on the Sanctuary land and rejoin their herd near the cemetery.
