Feedlot to Freedom

Feedlot to Freedom

This is the story of a killpen mustang named Smokie #566, a BLM Mustang that was headed to slaughter. She was round up from her home range and went from BLM holding pens, to their Incentive Program to Auction then to one of the worst killpens that any horse could end up in.

But  thanks to the generosity of folks like you, her story doesn't end there.

She was bailed out from a pen where she stood all alone with no food, water, or friends. She has seen horrors, and suffered trauma.  But today, she and her fellow feedlot rescues are running free once more in the wilds of Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary.

To see her joy of being free at last is a joy beyond description.

You can be a part of restoring the joy to "Smokie #566 and others like her by donating today!
